Redundancies at CADA as breakfast show and Flex and Froomes go

Two years after rebranding from The Edge, youth targeted Western Sydney station CADA has axed some of its lineup with more redundancies to come. CADA is part of ARN.

The breakfast team of Kian, Avneesha and Yaz, who came together as a trio at the start of this year, will not return in 2024. Flex and Froomes told listeners last week that Friday was their last day too.

CADA was the leading DAB station in Sydney last GfK Survey, with more than 150,000 listeners, but no significant impact in other metro areas. They still broadcast on 96.1 in the Western Sydney region but are outrated by ARN’s KIIS 1065.

We all knew this was coming. The launch of CADA was the absolute laughing stock of ARN. The biggest waste of money and resources, and here are the consequences.

Thank god they still have K-Sera… the only sane one left.

Getting rid of The Edge and Mike E & Emma was the worst decision ARN could’ve made.

The idea was sound but the station name just does not resonant a youth station. Mind you nor did ‘The Edge’. The same could be said of SCA with Hit.
