Radio ToGay Update: #MardiGrasForDubbo

Staff Writer

93.5 StarFM Dubbo’s Chris & Juelz wrapt up their week of Mardi Gras celebrations on Friday with a few firsts for the Central West City.

Dubbo got its first ever rainbow crossing in the heart of downtown Macquarie Street and their first ever Mardi Gras float (well sort of as you will see below).

Re-branding Star as 93.5 GRAS FM, they went further by discussing the issues facing young adolescents and coming to terms with their sexuality in the country with experts on hand.

CD Peter Samios told Radio Today: We also ran our online petition, which will still be active over the weekend, pushing for #MardiGrasForDubbo. Some responses so far include:

Equality for all… includes City vs. Country

No matter if you're gay, lesbian or straight, everyone is just as important as the next person. We need to spread equality everywhere in Australia.

“93.5 StarFM hopes it has made a positive impact to the greater Dubbo community this past week, as well as having an amazing time throughout”, said Peter.

What about the Float?

"The guys couldn’t quite get a float on Macquarie Street… so instead, they opted for the Macquarie River", said Peter.
