Radio holding up in ad market
The overall advertising market has recorded a slip of 0.3% year-on-year for December. This is after a 2% increase in November and a 7% fall in October.
Across 2012, the total ad market was down 1%.
For December, radio held up compared to other media :-
Radio | down 0.1% |
Metro free-to-air TV | down 3.3% |
Newspapers | down 17.4% |
Magazines | down 15.1% |
Cinema | up 10.8% |
Outdoor | up 2.1% |
Digital | up 36.3% |
Interestingly, across 2012, cinema was the fastest growing, recording a lift of 25.4%.
Digital ad revenue has increased 23.4% to more than $1 billion during the year.
