Prize Winner drinks to RØDE

The first of the winners of a Radio Today Podcast Award has been announced, with rest of the 24 awards to be revealed over the next two days.

James Atkinson from Sydney, has been declared the winner of the coveted RØDE Prize by a panel of three senior RØDE executives.

Individual entrants in the Radio Today Podcast Awards, as well as those who worked on any of the entries, were automatically eligible to have a crack at making off with a fabulous bundle of the latest RØDE gear.

To win, all they had to do was describe, in 50 words or less, how their work would benefit by winning The RØDE Prize.

James wrote: “After five years and 192 episodes, I would love the opportunity to fit out my studio properly with some professional gear. I have so far managed to achieve a very high standard of production with a fairly makeshif setup, but winning this prize would take Drinks Adventures to another level.”

James will receive the internationally acclaimed RØDECaster Pro II mixer, manufactured right here in Australia.

A PSA1+ Studio Arm

And NTH-100 Headphones

In congratulating the winner, RØDE Content & Communications Manager Harry Domanski said, “RØDE’s mission is to inspire and empower creatives of all types, providing the equipment that allows them to follow their ambitions. We’re thrilled to present this prize pack to a creator that perfectly encapsulates this passion, and hope it serves them well on their journey.”

James’ Podcast entry, Drinks Adventures, missed out on a place in the Indie division finals, so he was somewhat surprised when Radio Today Managing Editor, Peter Saxon called him last night with “good news.”

All the winners in all the categories will be published over the next few days.
