Power FM and 2ST’s Cash Splash nets one lucky winner $10,000

Nowra’s Power FM and 2ST have successfully wrapped up their latest major promotion ‘Cash Splash,’ which saw one lucky listener walk away with $10,000 cash.

The promotion, which ran across both ARN stations, saw hundreds of listeners register online for a chance to win.

Listeners were encouraged to shop in local participating businesses and scan the QR code in store to enter the Cash Splash draw.

The promotion enabled both Power FM and 2ST to give back to their listeners and the community, with an emphasis on supporting local businesses by encouraging local spending.

Over the past four weeks, a daily winner was drawn, each winning $100, before Hannah Wilson was announced the Cash Splash major winner, taking home $10,000.

Hannah says “It’s unbelievable … I don’t feel like this is real, I keep asking if this is a joke! A lot of stress has just been lifted off our shoulders.”

When asked about her plans for the prize money, Hannah said the options were endless, from helping cover a new rental bond and paying off the electricity bill, to taking the family on a well-deserved getaway or even purchasing a little ‘runaround’ to help transport the family.

2ST and Power FM General Manager Nicholas Purdie says “We were overwhelmed with the number of entries we received and are proud to have given our listeners over $12,000 in cash prizes since the promotion began! ‘Cash Splash’ was a great example of the power of community spirit and local support.”
