Talented musician Paula Baxter is the newest member of the team at the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia.
Baxter joins CBAA as the Member Partnerships Officer.
As an in-demand vocalist and songwriter and with a background in Human Resources, CBAA says Baxter is an incredible addition to the team.
“We look forward to seeing her thrive in this new role.”
Coming from a music performance and education background, Baxter – in an interview on the CBAA website – says she felt it was time for a change.
“I have been a supporter of community radio for many years and have great respect for the role it plays in society. I jumped at the chance to work within the industry when I came across the advertised role.”
And it’s been a great experience so far:
“I was surprised to learn there are so many stations, and that the listenership figures in some areas are almost the same as the listenership figures for commercial radio.”
