Nova’s Red Room hosts Budjerah

Nova’s Red Room will host 20-year-old singer-songwriter Budjerah for an exclusive performance in Sydney on Monday, 27 February.

The multi-award-winning artist has just released his new single Therapy, which along with songs from his two EPs, will be performed in the Piper Rooms at Ovolo Woolloomooloo.

Budjerah released his debut single Missing You two years ago and has since released two EPs, 2021’s debut self-titled release and 2022’s Conversations.

The two-time ARIA Award-winning artist took home ‘Breakthrough Artist’ in 2021 and ‘Best Soul/R&B Release’ in 2022 and was recognised with an APRA for ‘Most Performed R&B/Soul Work’ for Higher.

In 2022 Budjerah completed his first global headline tour, performed at an array of festivals, and supported Vance Joy on his Australian, North American and UK tours.

Last year, he was named GQ’s Breakthrough Artist of the Year and was recently nominated for ‘Best Single’ and ‘Best New Artist’ at the 2023 Rolling Stone Australia Awards.

The Bundjalung descendant from the north NSW coast that was guided and produced by singer Matt Corby will kick off Nova’s Red Room performances for the year.

Tickets can only be won by listening to Kate, Tim and JoelSmallzy’s Surgery or by entering on the Nova Player

“Budjerah is one of the most engaging and entertaining emerging Australian artists. He’s had a rapid career trajectory, impressing the music industry and fans with his unique talents, and we couldn’t be more excited for Budjerah to headline our first Nova’s Red Room for 2023,” Brendan Taylor, NOVA Entertainment’s Group Program Operations Director said.

“Nova has always been committed to providing a platform to support the hottest emerging Australian and international artists and providing music fans with unique, up close and personal experiences.”
