Former Assistant Editor

Nova 100 Melbourne is set to celebrate 13 years of its partnership with the Melbourne International Comedy festival with a special live broadcast.

The festival kicks off on Wednesday March 28, and Breakfast trio Chrissie, Sam and Browny will broadcast live outside the Melbourne Town Hall from 6am.

Nova 100 listeners are invited to join the fun, and the show will feature a  stack of comedians involved in the festival including Stephen K Amos, Nazeem Hussain, Celia Pacquola, Peter Helliar, Tom Gleeson, Dave Thornton, Urzila Carlson, Arj Barker, Judith Lucy and Denise Scott.

Chrissie, Sam and Browny will be joined by comedians for chats each weekday throughout the festival, and Nova 100 is also presenting the Hits & Giggles comedy gala on Saturday April 7.

Friday Funnies (but not always on a Friday) is another new concept launched by Nova 100, which will see the station roll out intimate and exclusive stand up shows for key agencies and clients throughout April.

Details about Nova 100’s events for the Melbourne International Comedy Festival are available here.
