Nic Kelly departs the Central Coast for 2DayFM
101.3 Sea FM host & operations manager Nic Kelly is heading south for a new full-time gig.
Nic has landed a new gig at Sydney’s 2DayFM, remaining in the SCA family.
He first started at Southern Cross Austereo in 2012 and has also had stints at KIIS 106.5 and Coast FM 96.3.
Nic will take on a new role as operations assistant & announcer, starting July 1.
“I’m so excited to be joining one of the world’s most recognised radio brands at a time of incredible growth and impact across the biggest city in Australia,” Nic tells Radio Today.
“I am equally excited to be joining a radio brand located 15 floors above a Grill’d restaurant.”
The radio host, who also runs music blog Project U and his own label Nigh High Records, took out B&T’s Project Manager category at the 30 Under 30 Awards in April.
Kill it mate!
What I’ve always said is that 2dayFM needs more kids in the content team/operations. They have one operations guy for each survey share point. So 4. Add another and you might get a 5 share guys.
@Bazz – I don’t think it works that way. I have been an Operations Assistant/Manager and I was the only one for this station and we managed to pull and 8.0 Share Point. So explain how you see one person in Operations = 1.0 share point?
so what’s a host and operations manager ?
Back in my day, when a hardworking kid got a sweet gig in a cap city, we weren’t all cnuts about it taking potshots at rival networks in the comments section on an industry website
God bless you Nicholas, well done mate
