Sea FM’s Nic Kelly wins B&T’s 30 Under 30 award

Former Assistant Editor

101.3 Sea FM Workdays host and operations manager Nic Kelly has taken out one of B&T’s coveted 30 Under 30 awards overnight.

Kelly, who also runs music blog Project U and his own label Nigh High Records, was recognised in the ‘Project Manager’ category at the ceremony in Sydney.

The night was hosted by triple j alumni Alex Dyson and saw a total of 32 awards handed out on the night across 12 categories.

“I was honoured to rep young people in radio at the 30 Under 30 Awards last night!” Kelly told Radio Today.

“I wanna thank SCA — particularly my GM Kristen Budd and CD Peter Yiamarelos, for fostering an environment where young people feel they can contribute to greater things & be change agents for this rapidly evolving, exciting industry.

“I never thought I’d end up enjoying the behind the scenes work as much as being on air, but I’m more than enjoying it – it makes my work feel valuable & receiving this accolade is a nice reminder I’m on the right path.

“Here’s to more young people doing cool things!”
