New York Radio Awards finalists

Every year the New York Festivals holds an International Radio Programs & Promos Competition. It's designed to highlight the best radio programs and promos from around the world from stations, networks or independent producers.

They have announced the finalists. Below are those recognised from Australia (including some slipped in via the BBC) and New Zealand :-

 

AUSTRALIA

Best Music Special – Nora Guthrie, Her Father's Daughter (ABC Radio National)

Best Music Special – Highway 61 (ABC)

Best Online Radio – Anzac (BBC)

Best Special Report – Bye-Bye Italy: From Austerity To Australia (SBS)

Best Sports Coverage – Million Dollar Kick (Triple M)

Best Two Way Telephone Talk/Interview Show – The Magic Red Box (ABC)

Best Writing – Anzac (BBC)

Culture & The Arts – Big Dave: Beats and Bars (Eurydice Aroney, Oliver Pieterse and Timothy Nicastri)

History – Anzac (BBC World Service)

NEW ZEALAND

Best Director- Fathers' Day – Dad's Breakfast CBA (Christian Broadcasting Association)

Best Talk Show Host – Kim Hill (Radio New Zealand)

Religious Programs – Love It series CBA (Christian Broadcasting Association)
