National Summer line-up: ABC Local Radio

With summer underway, ABC Local Radio brings some favourites and some new voices to the schedule.

The ABC summer line-up features both local fill in presenters and a number of familiar names taking over some of the networks National shows.

Dave O'Neil will present National afternoons for two weeks from December 8.

Dave will also team up with Glenn Robbins for Christmas Day and again New Year’s the second season of Now I’ll Have to Kill You.

From Lismore every Sunday, former Australian Netball Captain Liz Ellis will cover Macca’s shift  on Australia All Over on Sunday mornings.

Angela Pulvirenti will be presenting The Truth About Us for two weeks from 12 January with special guests including Russell Crowe, Casey Chambers, Guy Pearce and Maggie Beer.

Gretel Killeen will appear on ABC Local Radio, presenting Breakfast on Christmas Day & Boxing Day.

With Kate O’Toole presenting a special program commemorating the 40th Anniversary of Cyclone Tracey on Christmas Eve from Darwin.

On New Year’s Eve it will be a Woodford Folk Festival Special.

ABC Local Radio spotlights regional voices this season, including Nadine Maloney in Alice Springs, Kallee Buchanan in Bundaberg and Sheridan Stewart in Mildura.

It’s not summer unless the cricket is on, ABC cricket covered will also be joined by other sporting highlights including:  Test Cricket – Australia v India & the PM’s XI  in Canberra, the Asian Cup Football, A-League, tennis & golf

 

For ABC Metro Markets, each will have local fill-ins

For Sydney Dan Ilic, will cover Breakfast from 8 December, Simon Marnie from 15 December and Jen Fleming taking over from 22 December.  James Valentine will Drive from 8 December through until Christmas.

Adam Shirley will  cover Canberra Breakfast for one week starting 22 December. Louise Maher will follow then for three weeks from December 29.

Jamie Burnett will present Drive on ABC Canberra for two weeks from December 24. And Chris Coleman will be on Mornings for three weeks from  January 5.

For Brisbane as we reported earlier Tim Cox returns hosting Summer Breakfast on 612 ABC Local Radio. David Curnow will be Mornings for two weeks from December 8 and he will then return January 5 for another week.

Also for Brisbane, Annie Gaffney will host Drive for two weeks from December 9 and she will return on January 5.
