More movement at SCA
More movements are afoot at SCA, one of which will be a large relocation.
Firstly, Adrian Mauro is departing B105. The multi talented, ACRA finalist, audio producer has been with SCA in Brisbane for 13 years and genuinely leaves large boots to fill as well as B105 top of the Brisbane pack in Survey 5.
Yesterday also Nic Kelly announced on LinkedIn a move from the Central Coast to Sydney to take up additional operational roles alongside their national music show The Hot Hits every Saturday.
Kelly said:
“I also want to acknowledge that it’s a really rough time in our industry and some of our best people are without a job. I don’t take it for granted and my key personal metric for success is to make our people’s work days easier so they can contribute more to the ongoing strength of our industry through truly engaging content and strengthening the role of audio in people’s lives. The only way forward.”
SCA’s Central Coast radio stations’ home went up for sale about three months ago and sold quickly.
While it appears on social media to be business as usual like above, people are starting to shift to new locations; for Nic that’s Sydney, while others are thought to be headed to the relatively new SCA Newcastle premises.
SCA culled several of their Central Coast production and copywriting staff in June with further programming, management, digital employees made redundant last week.

I love Patty and Maz and listen here at Windale. Patty I know you do crab races on a Thursday. Could you do here at The Gateshead Tavern one day a week?
