Mix Canberra to broadcast Dawn Service

Mix 106.3 in Canberra have announced that they will broadcast the full National Dawn Service from the Australian War Memorial this Thursday on Anzac Day.

The broadcast will feature Leith Arundel, a Canberra actor reading excerpts from letters and diaries of Australians who experienced war. 

Also attending will be Corporal Ben Roberts-Smith who will read accounts of service in Afghanistan.

This will be followed by the actual Dawn Service at 5.28am.

Drew Chapman, Content Director of Mix 106.3, said;

"The Anzac Day Dawn Service is such an important event, especially in the ACT with so much of the Defense Force community based here, that it makes perfect sense to broadcast the ceremony so those who cannot be at the Memorial can feel that they are part of this National Service".

Mix 106.3's coverage commences at 4.30am, and concludes at 6am this Thursday.
