Merrick Watts chats life after radio on Game Changers

Merrick Watts is the latest guests on Craig Bruce’s radio industry podcast Game Changers: Radio.

He’s no stranger to the pod, having featured on an episode last year with former Nova partner Tim ‘Rosso’ Ross.

This time, Merrick is on his own, chatting with Craig about life after radio.

Merrick reveals how he got his new gig hosting true crime podcast Police Tape for NewsCorp.

“It’s been one of the few times I’ve listened back to content I’ve made and been really, really engaged with it,” he laughs.

He talks about the path from triple j to commercial radio, reflecting on the transition he made with Rosso, as well as his own transition to podcasting and AM radio.

Finally, Merrick reveals that he’s been in talks with several radio stations about a return to radio and that he has been chatting with 2GB for some time.
