Merrick & Rosso reunite on Game Changers: Radio

Former legacy Nova 96.9 Breakfast duo Merrick Watts and Tim ‘Rosso’ Ross are Craig Bruce‘s latest guests on the Game Changers: Radio podcast.

The pod that goes behind the names and faces of the industry, this episode features Aussie comedy duo turned radio stars Merrick and Rosso.

The boys started out in Drive at triple j, before becoming the inaugural Breakfast show on Nova 96.9 when it launched in 2001, and the duo chat about their 11-year radio tenure as a duo.

But as Craig says in the intro, the chat is more about why Merrick and Rosso worked to well together to become such an unstoppable force in radio, despite having very different personalities.

Rosso sums it up well, with “look we’re two very different people, but we share a very similar sense of humour.”

Predictably, the boys almost-immediately launch into what Craig describes as a “tidal wave of piss-taking and shit-stirring,” which in itself will remind listeners who remember the duo at their zenith just how special they were.

Through it all, and despite struggling not to laugh at almost everything Craig says, they do manage to give some incredibly insightful answers.
