Memorial details as radio industry pays tribute to Stuart Jay

Reporter

Stuart John Pratley – known to radio audiences as Stuart Jay – is being fondly remembered by industry colleagues following his recent death.

Stuart worked at 2UE presenting Hit Pickers Hotline, on 2UW Breakfast and 2CH.

He started on air in Adelaide at 5KA, then joined Melbourne’s 3UZ before heading to Sydney. Stuart was also a highly regarded voiceover talent.

In his obituary his wife Maria Mera-Pratley said “Stuart asked me to say that he died ‘loudly’ not peacefully like everybody else!!”

Stuart’s family is inviting his friends and former work colleagues and associates to join them at a memorial to remember his life.

The date is Sunday 3rd March at 1pm to 4pm at Everglades Historic House and Gardens at 37 Everglades Avenue, Leura. Refreshments will be provided. Parking in the car park adjacent to the entrance or in Everglades Avenue.

To assist with catering, if you wish to attend, please send a personal message via Facebook Messenger to Maria Mera-Pratley by Tuesday 27th Feb.
