Mel Greig – ‘worst phone call of my life’

In a clip released this afternoon Michael Christian and Mel Greig have spoken about their reaction to hearing the news of the death of Jacintha Saldanha.

The two announcers were both clearly devastated, openly in tears during portions of the interview. Speaking of the prank's genesis, Michael told Tracy Grimshaw;

“It was just the team sitting down before the show. That we thought about making a call it was going to go for 30 seconds we were going to be hung up on, and that was it. As innocent as that.”
