Meet the judges: Part 2

The excitement is building and today, we introduce seven more judges in the 2024 Radio Today Podcast Awards.

Greg Byrnes

Since graduating from AFTRS several decades ago, Greg has gone on to become one of Australian radio’s top executives.

Now Head of Content at Nine Radio, Greg was the former News Director and Program Director at Sydney’s 2UE.

Henrik Isaksson

Henrik began his audio journey at Spotify in Sweden, before relocating to Australia in 2011 to support the launch of the business, both here and in New Zealand.

For seven years now, Henrik has been the Managing Director of Acast which, under his stewardship, has grown to become the largest independent podcast company in Australia and New Zealand.

Henrik has always been a huge fan of the spoken word and is passionate about continuing to build and lead a team who share the same enthusiasm for the medium.

Jen Oldershaw

Jen has more than 30 years’ experience in the radio industry, as a presenter, content director, executive and manager.

The former triple j presenter was a founding member of both Nova 969 and Vega 95.3 and for seven years taught the Radio Graduate Diploma course at AFTRS.

Starting her career as a presenter on triple j, Jen went on to present and produce many ABC programs, becoming Content Director of ABC Sydney and managing all the station’s broadcast, digital and social teams and content.

Jen Seyderhelm

An experienced presenter, Jen is currently a reporter, editor and podcaster at radioinfo.

Jen was previously Breakfast co-host with Paul Holmes at 2CA in Canberra.

Among her many talents, Jen freelances in providing services in podcast production, design and delivery.

Jen’s an experienced educator in Broadcast, Podcast, Voiceover, Audio Editing and Writing for an Audio Audience.

She’s also a passionate Musicologist, specialising in Australian charting hits from 1960 to the present day.

Natalie Pozdeev

As Program Convenor at AFTRS, Natalie is a media education specialist, with expertise in practice-based radio, journalism and digital content training.

Natalie joined AFTRS after being Head Teacher of Media, Radio and Journalism at TAFE NSW, a role she held for over a decade.

Her industry practice has included a number of leadership and management roles, including Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee of the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA), the national peak body for community media.

Natalie was also previously the Head of Radio at AFTRS, and has had a long affiliation with community radio station 2RRR, most recently as Chair of the Board.

Norma Jean Belenky

As Podbean’s Head of Events in Indonesia, Norma Jean empowers and educates both podcasters and companies to tell their story and succeed with their podcasting initiatives.

Norma Jean produces Podbean’s virtual events and hosts, produces Podbean’s official podcast, Podcasting Smarter.

She also supports Podbean’s enterprise and internal podcast customers in the Asia Pacific region.

Olya Booyar

Based in Kuala Lumpur, Olya is Head of Radio for the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union.

Olya is responsible for setting the strategic direction for the Radio as well as help drive an expansion of services to the ABU’s 250+ member organisations across the region and around the world.

She began her career as an on-air broadcaster-journalist with SBS in Australia and rose rapidly through the organisation to Corporate and Community Relations Executive.

Olya has been a General Manager in charge of content, consumer and citizen matters for the Australian Communications & Media Authority (ACMA) and managed the communications and public affairs portfolios for the Australian Writers’ Guild.
