Matt & Alex All Day Breakfast celebrates first birthday

The Matt & Alex All Day Breakfast podcast has celebrated its first birthday by hosting a live podcast recording and party in Melbourne.

The podcast is hosted by former triple j Breakfast duo Matt Okine and Alex Dyson, and offers itself as a daily streaming alternative to Breakfast radio.

The event was held last week at Dyson’s comedy venue Comedy Republic, and included a crowd of 100-plus podcast super fans and listeners.

In addition to the ‘Awkward-Stra’ performing ‘Happy Birthday’ for the podcast, host Dyson also revealed his birthday haircut – a mullet with the addition of a ‘rat’s tongue’ over his forehead.

The LiSTNR production launched on May 5 last year.
