Magic happens: New radio gig for Jamie Row

As he prepares to mark 25 years in radio, double celebrations are in order for Jamie Row, who’s joined the ACE Radio Network as the Breakfast announcer on Melbourne’s Magic 1278.

Jamie has worked across all timeslots during his radio career, but – as one of life’s early risers – it’s fair to say the brekky shift is the perfect fit for him.

“I’m very much a mornings person. An early alarm has never been a negative in my life,” Jamie says.

The Magic format’s also a comfy fit for Jamie, who says classic hits have long been part of his DNA.

Previously at Melbourne’s Nova 100 – where he’d been hosting a local morning show – it was only a few months ago when Jamie woke up to see his name and face across radio industry websites, amid news of redundancies.

Confirming his new gig on LinkedIn this week, Jamie now embarks on his newest radio chapter.

Jamie can be heard weekdays from 6am to 9am on Magic1278
