Mad for the balls: Kyle & Jackie O serve up $100k in prizes

Kyle & Jackie O’s $100k Ball Drop officially returned to Melbourne this morning – with the KIIS duo broadcasting live from Frankston Centenary Tennis Club.

And in true K & J style, it didn’t go off without a hitch.

After a last-minute issue with the helicopter, a quick pivot was made, with a cherry picker being brought in to drop hundreds of foam tennis balls – packed with over $100,000 in cash and diamonds – onto the courts below.

120 listeners from Melbourne and Sydney each collected two balls.

Every ball contained a prize, some bigger than others.

In the end, Matt from Melbourne’s Surrey Hills walked away with $20,000 cash, thanks to Coinspot.

Kyle Sandilands said “They tried to shut it down, but the balls dropped regardless. People were in a frenzy, and everyone was loving it.”
