Life with Endo: Ellie Angel-Mobbs hosts Hit Network endometriosis special

Reporter

To mark Endometriosis Awareness Month, SCA’s Hit Network will air a one-hour special this Sunday (March 23), hosted by Hit Network announcer and Endometriosis Australia Ambassador  Ellie Angel-Mobbs.

Called Life with Endo, the program aims to raise awareness about endometriosis and encourage people to support Endometriosis Australia’s Giving Day later in the month.

Ellie herself has shared her own powerful account of her struggles with the disease, her story an important reminder that endometriosis is a serious health condition that can impact every aspect of life.

Life with Endo seeks to ignite conversations about a condition affecting 1 in 7 Australians by age 49, causing not only debilitating physical and mental pain but also fertility challenges.

With no cure in sight, the Hit Network aims to engage and educate a wider audience, including men, women, families, colleagues, and friends. The special will feature discussions with experts and hear stories from Emma Watkins, Emily Seebohm and Bindi Irwin.

Ellie says “I am so pleased to be an ambassador for Endometriosis Australia and proud to be able to deliver a national program across the Hit Network to raise awareness for the disease, educate and help support all the work Endometriosis Australia do.”

“It may be a silent disease, but we can give it a voice.”

Head of Hit Metro Content Amanda Lee says “Ellie, along with thousands of other Australians, has been so courageous in her battle with endometriosis. She has worked hard to bring Life with Endo to the Hit Network and I can’t wait to hear these raw stories.”

General Manager Endometriosis Australia Natalie Rupil said: “Endometriosis Australia is honoured to have Ellie Angel-Mobbs as an Ambassador, leading this special and reaching people across the country about the physical, psychological and lifestyle impact the disease can have.”

“On Endo Giving Day, 28th March, your donation will help fund essential nurse training, offering crucial support to those rural communities.”

SCA has been a partner of Endometriosis Australia since January 2024 through the SCA Embrace program.

A Life with Endo airs across the Hit Network on Sunday March 23 at 8am (time may vary in local market) and on the LiSTNR app. Find further info on Endo Giving Day here.

Ellie you’re an inspiration. World class human and announcer. What an incredible program.

Gonna take a guess that one M. Sheargold will not be featuring on this.

Good to see the relations with Endo Aus and SCA haven’t been damaged too much by his antics.

So excited to make and present this little baby of mine! I had this idea when Endo Australia first joined SCA as our Embrace partner last year and straight away I had the support. Very proud. Thanks RT for spreading the word.
