KIIS FM’s Laura Byrne dances with the stars

Laura Byrne from KIIS FM’s The Pick Up has revealed she’ll be appearing on the upcoming season of Dancing With the Stars, which is set to return to Channel Seven later this year.

After much guessing from co-hosts Brittany Hockley and Mitch Churi as to what she’s been up to lately, Byrne announced the news, saying she’s been rehearsing 25hrs per week:

“I’ve been training my absolute arse off, literally my arse is gone, look how flat it is. I’ve got nothing left on me.”

Of her dancing abilities, she said “I am so unbelievably bad I look like a baby giraffe that’s just bene birthed. Or like a praying mantis or stick insect when they’re about to move forward and they go back and forth before they move.”

Byrne says her dance partner has a ‘militant Russian style.’

“Every so often he gets the stick out and whacks me across the knees if I’m not pointing my legs. It’s his first season and because it’s his first season he’s so hungry to win the competition.”

She can’t reveal the other contestants as she hasn’t met any of them yet.
