Katy Perry addresses Grand Final controversy with Fifi, Fev & Nick

Katy Perry has opened up about the surprising decision to remove her iconic hit Roar from the AFL Grand Final set list during a chat with The Fox’s Fifi, Fev & Nick.

In the interview – which airs on The Fox this morning – Perry addresses the controversy surrounding her performance choices, revealing she initially had reservations about singing Roar due to the song’s connection with the Brisbane Lions.

With the team in the Grand Final, Perry explained to Fev that performing the song might seem unfair to Sydney Swans fans.

“It’s not fair … that’s what everybody says!”

Despite her concerns, Fev pushed back, leading Perry to hint she might still include the crowd-favourite anthem.

Perry also teases a potential duet partner for her Grand Final Day performance, hinting at an Australian female icon joining her on stage.

Is Fev correct in his guess? Could it be Tina Arena?
