Radio journo Scott Mayman on the mend after airport medical episode

After a successful job reporting from New York City on the 23rd anniversary of the September 11 attacks, Scott Mayman’s return to Australia didn’t quite go as planned.

The veteran radio journalist is back home recuperating and feeling much better, after suffering a medical episode while changing gates at Sydney Airport.

Following his discharge from Sydney’s Prince of Wales Hospital, Scott returned to the airport to thank the Qantas staff who cared for him until the ambulance arrived. Scott calls them his guardian angels.

“Such a well-oiled machine working together,” says Scott. “They went out of their way during my situation. I can’t thank these guys enough for their actions.”
