GfK Survey 4 is out, and it’s a concerning book for ARN, with its networked Christian O’Connell Breakfast and Jonesy & Amanda Drive shows losing ground in both Sydney and Melbourne.

O’Connell shed 1.3 share points and 41,000 listeners to now sit third among the FM teams in Melbourne.

His Sydney Breakfast show on GOLD 101.7 also dropped – albeit only slightly – with 33,000 listeners going elsewhere.

Jonesy and Amanda – the Breakfast show O’Connell replaced – dropped 1.9 to 9.7 in Melbourne Drive, shedding 58,000 listeners. They had an even bigger fall in Sydney – down 2.2% to a 10.0 share.

3AW’s Ross Stevenson and Russel Howcroft continue to rule Melbourne’s Breakfast radio kingdom, with the AM duo gaining another share point to now sit at a remarkable 20.1, far and above any of their FM counterparts.

Nova 100’s Jase, Lauren & Clint were the big winners, picking up 77,000 listeners and gaining another share point to now be 10.4, taking over the mantle as Melbourne’s #1 FM Breakfast team, with The Fox’s Fifi, Fev & Nick now second (+0.5% to 10.0) and O’Connell slipping to third.

ABC Melbourne enjoyed much better results this time around, with share gains across every day part and a healthy uptick in cume. 1116 SEN also continued its upward trajectory, with a marginal gain in Breakfast.

As ARN continues with its revolving door of guest co-hosts, KIIS Sydney Breakfast with Mike E and Brooklyn Ross dropped 1.1% to now hold a 7.1 share, shedding 29,000 listeners.

There was minimal movement for SCA’s 2Day FM and Triple M Sydney Breakfast shows this book, though both recorded marginal share increases.

In Brisbane, Survey 4 brought improvement for KIIS 97.3’s Breakfast team of Robin, Kip & Corey, who went up 1.2% to a 12.2 share.

4BH favourite BBQ Bob continued his steady climb, going up another 0.2% to now hold an 11.3 share in Brisbane Breakfast, as 4BC Breakfast with Dean Miller and Sofie Formica slipped half a share point to now sit at 3.2.
