End of a traffic era as Vic Lorusso and ARN part ways
Radio’s long-running ‘eye in the sky’ Vic Lorusso has reportedly parted ways with ARN.
Late last year Lorusso – CEO of traffic report provider atn – was appointed Chief Executive of ATN’s ASX-listed parent company Global Traffic Network (GTN), leading the business across four countries.
The Australian (subscription required) says it understands that ARN has now decided to end its contract with GTN and go it alone.
Lorusso has 25 years’ experience in the media industry, all of those spent with atn in various operational and management positions.
GTN reportedly had a contract valued at more than $10m with ARN to deliver traffic reports and then sell adverts on its stations.
At this stage there is no official statement forthcoming from ARN.
GTN has also been contacted for comment.
