The Christian O’Connell Show’s Hand Final proves a ‘smash’ hit at ARN’s Melbourne HQ
With the city in the grip of footy fever, Gold104.3’s The Christian O’Connell Show opened the doors of ARN’s Melbourne office to local listeners this morning for The Hand Final.
The competition saw listeners try their luck at handballing a footy through the drum of a washing machine.
Out of hundreds of attempts, 20 successful punters won themselves a Fisher & Paykel washing machine, thanks to E&S.
The first Gold athlete, 15-yer-old Katrina, didn’t have as much luck though, with her attempt ricocheting off the washing machine and smashing the glass window of ARN’s common room.
Talk about an incorrect disposal!
On-air following the window smash, Christian said “It’s high and wide and we’ve actually broken a window. That couldn’t have gone any worse! We only have twenty more windows left to break …”
Jack Post added “You’re the first contestant ever on the show that actually owes us money.”
That’s got to hurt. Your boss spends all their money on your rival at the same company, they come like 4th, you’ve dropped down from Number 1, and now on arguably the BIGGEST day in Melbourne you’re doing some street team level shit not even on location but in the office. Grim.
