“It’s been an amazing ride.” Tim Lordan departs SCA

Reporter

After an impressive commercial radio career spanning more than 25 years, Tim Lordan is looking forward to life’s next adventure, after parting ways with Perth’s Mix 94.5.

Tim’s role as the station’s Afternoons host and Assistant Content Director officially wrapped up a week ago, as redundancies take effect at SCA.

He was previously Operations and Morning Announcer at Triple M Adelaide, where he anchored and produced the Saturday morning sports show Dead Set Legends and was Assistant Program Director for Brisbane’s Nova 106.9.

Of Tim’s 15 years at SCA, 12 of those were spent in his hometown of Perth.

Tim says “It’s been an amazing ride, doing every content role imaginable: fromWorkday jock, Breakfast anchor and one half of a Network Drive duo to Music Director, Breakfast EP, Assistant CD and CD.”

“I’m taking a break at the moment and decided to extend my European holiday a bit … and soon I’ll be on the lookout for whatever the next adventure will be.”

Another quality person, gone. If you work for SCA and your on-air job isn’t protected by ACMA local broadcasting requirements, prepare NOW.

I think Tim Lordan will either join 96fm or 6ix as a casual announcer
