JOY 94.9 announces new Breakfast team

A new Breakfast team has been unveiled for Melbourne community radio station, JOY 94.9. 

Rach Morrison and Dean Arcuri will now front Breakfast from 7.00AM to 9.00AM on Australia’s first and only LGBTQIA+ community radio station.

Both Rach and Dean are seasoned presenters, trainers and producers who have spent the last three months preparing to get up early each weekday. 

“We are both excited to present JOY Breakfast, we hope to be a healthy source of fun, news, and have a good laugh with you every day,” Rach said.  

The presenters plan on bringing colour and vibrancy each morning to create community radio that features the voices of the community at the front and centre. 

“As one of Australia’s busiest homosexuals, I’m enjoying hearing the stories of our community and bringing my extensive karaoke experience to breakfast radio,” Dean said.

JOY Media CEO, David ‘Macca’ McCarthy said, “It’s a breath of fresh air to listen to Rach and Dean in the morning. They are bringing JOY to our audience by providing a celebration of pride from the diverse rainbow community on the airwaves.”
