Jon Vertigan named group content director at ACE Radio

Former Assistant Editor
ACE Radio Network

Longtime Morning Rush Breakfast host Jon Vertigan has been appointed group content director at ACE Radio Network.

Vertigan will assume the new role in 2020, having racked up 22 years of service with ACE (and 27 years in Australian commercial radio).

Mat Cummins departs the role of group CD, having spent four years in the job. He’ll be taking time to focus on his other role of general manager for ACE Radio Gippsland at TRFM and Gold 1242.

In his almost three decades in radio, Vertigan has worked on air at ARN in Melbourne, and previously held the position of ARN national music director. He has won 15 ACRAs across his career.

He’ll continue to his The Morning Rush for the rest of the year, with the show heard across eight ACE Radio stations, and ACE will announce his replacement shortly.
