JJJ hit Dalby this weekend

Staff Writer

Tomorrow afternoon the town of Dalby, just north of Toowoomba, becomes Triple J headquarters with the 2012 edition of the 'One Night Stand'.

The concert is completely free, although a gold coin donation is requested, and the entire show will be broadcast on Triple J nationally.

Playing this year will be Temper Trap, Matt Corby, 360, Stonefield and Mace and the Motor. There are over 15,000 concert-goers expected to brave what is forecast to be a wet and cold weekend in Dalby.

Speaking at the announcement of the concert a few weeks ago, Triple J Manager Chris Scaddan said

"It's our pleasure every year to bring our One Night Stand concert to parts of Australia that are hungry for live music, Southern Queensland has had a tough time over the past couple of years, so they deserve an event like this more than ever.

We're looking forward to getting to know the people of Dalby a bit better and bringing their stories and this concert to the rest of the country"

This event is a fantastic example of Triple J connecting with regional communities, something the brand does exceptionally and consistently.
