Jennifer Goggin is PodcastOne’s new content director

Southern Cross Austereo announced the appointment of radio, documentary and podcast producer Jennifer Goggin as the new content director for PodcastOne.

Goggin comes from the BBC, having worked across all elements of podcast production, from concept all the way through to pubishing – and in her new role will execute PodcastOne’s content strategy.

She will report to PodcastOne head Grant Tothill and replaces Jamie Chaux who is leaving SCA to work as head of digital at Commercial Radio Australia.

“We are thrilled to welcome Jennifer to the PodcastOne team,” said Tothill. “As an experienced podcast maker and qualified journalist, she is a wonderful addition to our growing podcasting family and with her experience and qualifications brings new thinking to our team.

“We haven’t even reached our first birthday yet and PodcastOne is growing in its popularity and reach every week driven primarily through its domestic podcasts.

“With over 40 original locally created podcasts, and with many more in development, the growth of the business is showing Australians are hungry for high quality story-telling audio on demand.”

Goggin will select, commission and develop new original podcasts, as well as managing the content slate for AU and US, managing producers, overseeing the digital social lead and supporting the monetisation of content.
