Jackie O overcomes hesitation and gets AstraZeneca vaccine on air
Jackie ‘O’ Henderson is the latest high-profile media personality to get a COVID-19 vaccination and encourage others to do the same.
Henderson’s co-host Kyle Sandilands is already fully vaccinated with the Pfizer jab.
“I’m fully vaccinated on Pfizer, because of white privilege,” he said on air.
Henderson, meanwhile, indicated she was sick of waiting for that vaccine to become available to her.
“I am on a waiting list for Pfizer, but I just figured that AstraZeneca why not take it?,” she said.
“I would rather get the vaccination now because I’m worried that COVID’s out there and this strain is a bad one,” she added.
She noted she’d also taken heart from the videos compiled by newsreader Brooklyn Ross about the importance of Sydney getting vaccinated as soon as possible, and how people holding out for Pfizer could cause the city to be in lockdown much longer than necessary.

The same doctor who administered vaccines to Mike ‘E’ Etheridge and Emma Chow on the Mike E & Emma show on Monday gave Henderson her jab.
He reiterated his prediction that if you live in New South Wales, you won’t be able to leave the state until you’ve had two doses of the vaccine.
He also said some of the outlandish theories about the dangers of the vaccine are “deluded”.
Sandilands has been a vocal advocate of the vaccine, going so far as to create a ‘Get Vaxxed Baby’ jingle and music video which has since been endorsed by both Prime Minister Scott Morrison and NSW health minister Brad Hazzard.
Did Jackie really get the jab or is this just fake?
I heard Kyle say last week he had both Astra and Pfizer?
If Kyle and Jackie lose the number one spot overall in the ratings, it will be because they weren’t alway honest with the audience
I don’t think Radio Today should be your source of vaccine / virus truth.
Might I recommend the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI), Mayo Clinic, the Department of Health, or Johns Hopkins.

It’s great to see these two using their power for the greater good.
Their opposition (Moonman) is too busy breaking the rules and escaping for weekends away in Byron.
Vivienne – I am asking if Jackie really did get the jab live on air or if this was just staged.
I love Kyle and Jackie O but I get disappointed when the content is fake ie. in 2005 they brought a prostitute into the studio and the program director Craig Bruce got angry and threw her out – that was all staged!

I know these stunts bring awareness and encourage listeners to get vaccinated… but why should radio hosts get their vaccine personally delivered to them?
