Incredible moment of generosity for ABC Radio Perth’s Breakfast Blitz

720 ABC Radio Perth’s Breakfast Blitz campaign has seen listeners across the city donate breakfast items to help people experiencing homelessness this winter.

Breakfast presenter Mark Gibson recently spoke with Brendon, who shared his family’s experience of homelessness after a series of unfortunate events.

The interview prompted a huge response from ABC Radio Perth listeners who were keen to help Brendon and his family.

In an incredible moment shared on-air, listener Heather got in touch, keen to donate a car to Brendan and his family to help them get back on track.

There’s still time to donate to ABC Radio Perth’s Breakfast Blitz. Listeners are encouraged to donate non-perishable breakfast items at locations across Perth.

Donations will be used by Uniting WA to help those in need at their Tranby Engagement Hub, where they provide a warm drink, some breakfast and a friendly ear to people who have spent the night sleeping rough.
