Hot Topics: The new SA podcast with Matt Gilbertson

South Australians can now get a weekly audio dose of global cabaret superstar Matt Gilbertson on The Post’s newly launched podcast Hot Topics.

The Post is a project from Solstice Media in partnership with the Government of South Australia, which aims to inform young South Australians about the policies and issues affecting their lives.

Co-hosted by The Post editor Anna Kantilaftas and producer Tim Whiffen, Hot Topics aims to unpack various subjects that have been in the headlines, in a casual but informative and often irreverent way.

Matt says he’s excited to get the people of Adelaide talking.

“We’ve already released 15 episodes so far, and the response has been great.”

“Alongside my performance work, I’ve also been a journalist for 13 years. While juggling my two roles I always enjoyed the way that being across day-to-day news fed into the comedy side of my live shows.”

“This podcast is almost a good marriage of the two. It’s a way of making the news topics that young people should be aware of a little more accessible and engaging.”
