Hot Tomato’s exclusive Amy Shark performance for Australia Day

The Gold Coast’s 102.9 Hot Tomato threw a massive Australia Day bash over last weekend.

Hosted by The Star Casino, the Hot Tomato team managed to secure locally-bred singer-songwriter Amy Shark to perform on the day.

In the lead up to the big day, listeners the chance to win tickets for themselves and three friends every 30 minutes across the workday.

Galey, Emily Jade & Christo then broadcast live from the lawn at The Star ahead of Amy’s show.

“As the GC’s only 100% local radio station, it was an amazing opportunity for Hot Tomato to invite our listeners to The Lawn at The Star for an exclusive acoustic performance from one of the Gold Coast’s biggest stars,” content director Brendon ‘Whippy’ Danger’ told Radio Today.

“The phones rang nonstop, so the response from our listeners was massive.”
