Are Hit106.9’s Nick, Jess and Simon better matchmakers than MAFS?

Former Features Editor

Dominating watercooler conversation across the nation, Married At First Sight (MAFS) is nothing short a phenomenon.

But Hit106.9’s Nick, Jess and Simon think their matchmaking abilities are better than the “experts” on the Channel Nine show, and they’re putting their skills to the test.

The Newcastle Breakfast team has launched “Married At First Swipe”, with listener Jessie from Thornton selected to join the team in the studio to swipe left or right on three potential suitors – swipe left to move onto the next guy, or swipe right to go on a date.

Each gentleman had just 20 seconds to sell himself, and the love experiment eventually saw Jessie swipe right on Mitch from Kurri Kurri.

How could love not blossom after camel riding on Stockton Dunes and a dinner date at a harbourside restaurant?
