Doubling up: Ratings joy for Brig on ABC Afternoons

GfK Survey 4 has brought much cause for excitement at the ABC, with the national broadcaster enjoying strong market gains in both Sydney and Melbourne.

It also brought an extraordinarily good result for 774 ABC Melbourne host Brigitte Duclos, who doubled her audience share on Afternoons, up 2.5% to 5.0.

Since starting out as a cadet reporter on Channel 10, Duclos has been a familiar and well-loved presence on Melbourne radio for more than three decades.

Mornings host Raf Epstein also enjoyed a significant share gain (+1.4% to 6.2).

702 ABC Sydney and 774 ABC Melbourne posted the largest share gains in their respective cities.

 ABC Director Audio Ben Latimer said “These results are a credit to our teams and show audiences are responding to the distinctive, local radio we are delivering in two highly competitive markets.”
