Rogue lizard takes Hit101.3 off air

Staff Writer

An adventurous lizard took refuge amongst some computer equipment in the Hit101.3 control room, accidentally taking the Central Coast station off air.

Operations manager Jimi Love was woken yesterday morning by multiple calls alerting him to the fact that the station was broadcasting dead air.

The station’s staff then tried to fix the issue remotely, however it could not be resolved.

That’s when Hit101.3 discovered a lizard in the control room, appearing to use computer equipment to keep warm.

The lizard, now known as ‘Lollies’ was placed in an old box labelled “lollies” and returned to nearby bushland.
