Hit takes the top while Star continues to fall: Mackay Survey 1, 2023

Hit Mackay & The Whitsundays managed to scrape ahead of Triple M in the Mackay Survey 1 results for 2023.

Hit nudged ahead of Triple M with a +2.1 jump in the 10+, sitting just in front with 20.6.

Triple M increased +1.5 in the 10+, finding 20.1.

Former survey leader Star 101.9 continued to fall since last year’s Mackay Survey results, dropping a further -2.7 to 16.9 in the 10+.

The only fall in the 10+ more significant than Star was triple j, taking a -3.9 loss due to drops in all age demographics, most notably, -6.8 in the 18-24 target demo.

ABC Tropical North held steady with -0.2 in the 10+ despite showing -6.7 in the 55-64 bracket.

In terms of time slots, Hit jumped in all positions except Drive which still managed to stay ahead of the closest competitor.

Hit went from holding 2 time slots in the 2022 survey, to 4 with a shared 5th spot in Evenings this survey.
