Hit 100.9 Hobart unveils Jimmy and Nath for 2018 breakfast

Former Assistant Editor

Jimmy Smith & Nathan Roye are set to take over breakfast duties on Hobart’s Hit 100.9 next year.

Southern Cross Austereo announced that the boys will move from Sydney to Hobart to replace Paul Hogan for the weekday 6-9am slot, kicking off on January 29, 2018.

Jimmy & Nath hosted The Late Shift on Nova 96.9 until March, 2017.

“I’m stoked to be moving to Hobart with my best mate (that’s Nath). I’ve always wanted to do the Sydney to Hobart,” said Jimmy.

“Before we got offered the job, I got a tattoo on my bum that says ‘Hobart is home’… risky, but it paid off,” Nath added.

“We are stoked to have Hobartians waking up to us every morning! Believe me, it’s better than going to bed with us.”

“2018 brings a fresh sound to Hobart with the fantastic addition of Jimmy and Nath to the Hit 100.9 team,” said SCA Hobart general manager Ally Bradley.

“I am sure our listeners will enjoy their natural chemistry and engaging humour as they bring their A-game to the very competitive environment of Breakfast Radio in Hobart.”

Hit 100.9 have also confirmed the rest of their weekday lineup, with local broadcasts of Mason Tucker from 9am – 12pm and Nicole Mitchell from 12pm – 3pm.

They’ll be followed by national broadcasts of Carrie & Tommy, Hughsey & Kate and Ash London Live.
