Hamish & Andy pull off a classic switcheroo on Matt & Alex’s podcast

Matt & Alex’s All Day Breakfast podcast has made quite an impression so far, the former triple j pair reuniting properly for the first time since departing the public broadcaster in 2017.

This week Matt Okine and Alex Dyson were chatting about a recent scandal in the world of Esports car racing, where one driver secretly swapped out for a professional gamer in the Formula E championship.

It appears the scandal gave the boys an idea…

“That’s a cheap move to have someone impersonate you,” foreshadowed Matt.

“Just because you play video games and no one can see your face does not mean you should be able to tag yourself out for someone better,” agreed Alex.

Then, in a sneaky bit of audio fun that would have made Martin Molloy proud, Hamish & Andy seamlessly transition into the conversation.

“Exactly! It’s like, you’ve signed up for a job, you can at least show up to do it,” says a voice… later revealed to be Andy Lee. “The least you can do is show up!”

After some confusing switcheroo antics, Hamish also joins in the fun.
