Hamish and Andy sign long term contract with SCA’s LiSTNR

Popular comedy podcasters Hamish Blake and Andy Lee have signed an early long term, multi-year extension to their contract with SCA.

As Hamish and Andy and SCA’s relationship heads into its third decade as part of the SCA family, the stars of Australia’s top ranking podcast Hamish & Andy, continue to increase their audience every year to dominate Australia’s Podcast Ranker.

In addition, Hamish & Andy’s Remembering Project, now in its fourth season as an exclusive first run on LiSTNR, sees the pair delve into their archives from 2,500 radio shows across two decades to see if they can recall what was going on behind the scenes at that exact time. Hamish & Andy’s Remembering Project has evolved into a show of often incorrect recollections that make for an irreverent and hilarious trip down memory lane.

Also on LiSTNR is Andy Lee’s popular children’s book series, Do Not Open This Book, as an interactive children’s podcast series, voiced by Andy.

The pair began their radio careers with SCA, delivering ratings that have never been matched during their reign as Australia’s biggest radio show on the national Hit Network Drive shift, and were pioneers of transforming their creative approach and strong connection to their fans in podcasting.

Hamish and Andy are excited for the future: “We said we’d do 40 shows for 40 years, so I guess we are an eighth of the way there. We love doing the podcast, it’s our favourite part of the week. We look forward to providing a similar type quote in the year 2057 from a nursing home where minders allow us to pretend we are still podcasting and lie to us that heaps of people are listening.”

The Hamish & Andy podcast will be played in Hit’s Breakfast slot across the nation leading into Christmas and gives listeners a chance to hear the laughs, gags and comedic genius of the duo on the radio waves once again.
