Guy Ashford suspended after awards incident

SuperNetwork Newcastle general manager Guy Ashford has been suspended after an incident at the Australian Audio Awards.

During a congratulatory embrace with winner Cheralyn Darcey, Ashford inappropriately touched her behind.

Supernetwork CEO Graham Mott has told radioinfo the action was “totally inappropriate,” and that Ashford “has been suspended until further notice.”

Mott has personally apologised to Cheralyn and her husband, and is on his way to Newcastle to mount an investigation.
