Georgie McEnroe launches ‘Mums Taxi’

Staff Writer

Former Mix Melbourne and Triple M Brisbane Breakfast Announcer George McEncroe is launching a new women-only rideshare service called ‘Mums Taxi’.

Mums Taxi is a ride-sharing service, similar to UBER, but targeting women and children with all drivers being female.

Mums Taxi is launching in October in Sydney and is planned to roll out to other states shortly after that. Once the service is national, a portion of each ‘taxi fare’ will be donated to a charity improving the lives of women and children.

Drivers, who will all be women, retain 85% of each fare.

The mission of Mums Taxi is:

▪ to increase the confidence of women as earners, carers and social butterflies
▪ to provide women with safe and flexible self-employment
▪ to take the pressure off busy families spending way too many hours on the road

The organisation is looking to raise funds to recruit suitable drivers, establish an office in Sydney, and finalise the technology.
