Geelong’s K rock to cover AFLW Cats at GMHBA Stadium
K rock 95.5 is extending its AFL broadcast to the Geelong Cats AFLW team.
Via the online platform krockfootball.live, the station will provide coverage of every Cats GMHBA Stadium game during the upcoming 2024 AFLW season, allowing fans – at home or far away – to listen delay-free.
The on-air team will comprise award-winning broadcaster Tom King and former Geelong fan favourite Rocky Cranston.
King will provide the play-by-play description of each match, with Cranston – who played 21 games for the Cats in a 60-game AFLW career – providing expert comments.
“We look forward to following the Cats closely as they continue to strive for their maiden AFLW premiership,” says Geelong Broadcasters General Manager Rachel Patterson.
“With insights from Rocky joining Kingy in the commentary box, we are thrilled to deliver all the action live this season.”
Geelong Cats Chief Operating Officer Simon Kelleher says the club is excited to see the growth of AFLW coverage through K rock’s online platform.
“This is an exciting opportunity for fans all across the country to tune in and listen to K rock calls of our home AFLW matches from our long-time radio partners.”
Geelong’s AFLW season commences on Saturday, August 31, against Melbourne at GMHBA Stadium.
