Gary Shannon joins 6IX Perth

Perth radio legend Gary Shannon is joining 6IX.

He is hosting a new series “What’s on in Perth” and other projects for the station.

Program Director Stuart Endersby says “Gary is a great friend, fellow Dockers supporter and without doubt a legend of Perth radio. It’s great that he will now back on Perth radio.”

Gary was famously part of the PMFM Morning Crew along Jane Marwick & Bernie Brittain. They dominated ratings in the 90’s, peaking at over 30% on PMFM, which later became 92.9.

General Manager Evan Broadway says “The pace that 6iX is moving this year is incredible. Our clients are loving our strategic approach to creating great radio for our target audience. Having a talent like Gary now officially joining the team is a big win for 6iX and his loyal Perth fan base – who want him back on Perth radio. Not to mention our clients.”
