Funny side of the election with News Fighters

With the Australian Federal Election called for May 21st, Australia’s clips-based news comedy podcast News Fighters will release episodes “at least weekly” during the campaign, including quick turnaround analysis of the debates and major campaign launches.

This will mark host Dylan Behan’s seventh federal election he’s covered, including four he worked on as editor for The Chaser’s various TV shows (2007-2016).

“Expect the kind of incisive comedic coverage you used to get on the ABC when they weren’t afraid of losing funding from a humourless Morrison government,” says Dylan Behan.

Over the past three and a bit years and almost 100 episodes, News Fighters has covered ten elections including four Australian state elections, four international elections and the 2019 federal election.

“I love elections so much, maybe I should just call the show Election Fighters and be done with it?” says Behan.
